Coach Malony is dedicated to helping 9U travel baseball players grow both as athletes and teammates. His coaching approach focuses on developing strong fundamentals, baseball knowledge, confidence, and a competitive mindset while keeping the game fun for young players.

Coach Malony emphasizes hard work, accountability, teamwork, and respect, challenging each player to get better every time they step on the field. His goal is to build well-rounded players who understand the game, compete the right way, and develop the skills and character needed to succeed at the next level and beyond.

Coach Lee Whitaker believes 9U baseball is about much more than learning how to hit, throw, and catch. At this age, players are learning lessons that can stay with them long after they leave the ballfield.

His coaching focuses on confidence, discipline, teamwork, perseverance, responsibility, and character. He teaches players to believe in themselves, understand that improvement comes through effort, support their teammates, learn from mistakes, honor their commitments, and handle both winning and losing with respect and sportsmanship.

Most importantly, Coach Whitaker believes 9U is an age when kids can fall in love with baseball while learning life lessons through the game. His goal isn't simply to create better baseball players — it's to help create better teammates, stronger young people, and kids who believe they can accomplish difficult things.
